Being Mighty Pecan

Knowing about me…well, let me get this straight. You are here more than likely because you know me; at least at this point in time. Maybe eventually random folks from wherever will stumble upon my blog, but until then I would bet most of you already know me.

For the record, I am a down-to-earth country boy living in the great state of Texas. No, I wasn’t born here. No, you won’t hear the generic bumper sticker phrase, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!” Not me at all. I came out here for the same reason most folks tend to move 1,200 miles away from pretty much everyone who ever cared about them. I came here for a girl. A girl I dated, up to the point of moving, for a little over four years. Why did I do it? Why the heck do you think I did it?! Love. We all feel that at some point. I felt it. I left a life to make a life. Yep, you guessed it; we broke up. Ain’t that typical? It came down to her not wanting to move 75 miles south to be in San Antonio with me. Funny thing, she grew up in SA before going to school in SC. Oh well. It’s been nearly a year since we first split, and I have to say I’m living it up the best way I can. San Antonio is a great city. I’ve made friends and have a good job. Oh yeah, I got a pretty cool kitty cat from my ex…he’s been a lifesaver. His name is Bowen and he turned 2 on February 6th. That, my friends, is the most diluted version of my life I can come up with at the moment. Don’t fret, more is on the way.
